David W. Case is a commercial litigator with experience in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations, representing clients in a broad range of business disputes. He has experience with breach-of-contract and breach-of-fiduciary-duty claims; trade-secret, restrictive-covenant, and unfair-competition claims; insurance-coverage disputes; and representing construction companies, manufacturers, and retailers against claims of wrongful death and serious personal injuries. His clients have included large construction companies, Fortune 500 manufacturers and retailers, private businesses, directors and officers, shareholders in closely held corporations and LLCs, and partners in partnership disputes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
David was named to the Connecticut Law Tribune’s 2015 New Leaders in the Law, for Connecticut lawyers under 40 years of age, judged in categories including contributions to the law, bar association efforts, pro bono work, and peer recognition. He has been listed in Best Lawyers (2023, 2024), a Woodward/White, Inc. publication, in the area of Commercial Litigation; and in Super Lawyers, a Thomas Reuters publication, in the area of Business Litigation (as a Rising Star, from 2009-2013; and as a Super Lawyer, from 2016-2021).

PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
David is active in the Hartford County Bar Association, serving for many years on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Mentorship Program. He is also active in the Hartford County Bar Foundation, a charitable arm of the Association, having served as an officer and currently serving on the Board of Directors. He is also a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation; a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Litigation Section; and a member of the American Bar Association. David was invited to participate in the Oliver Ellsworth American Inn of Court, an association of Connecticut judges and lawyers who discuss issues of professionalism, ethics, and civility in the law, as a Barrister from 2007 to 2011.
